Local Rules

Players are requested to bring their handicap certificates.  The handicap limit is 28 for men and 36 for ladies.  In some cases, if a player is playing with a Golf Professional, playing ability cards or green cards will be allowed.

Tee times are based on 10-minute intervals, with four players’ maximum per tee time.  Players are requested to check in at least half an hour before their tee time.  Occasionally, shotgun starts may take place.

All courses in UAE are “spike free”, with no metal spikes allowed. Only rubber soled golf shoes or soft spikes are permitted.  Facilities are available to change metal spikes to plastic.

For safety reasons and strict control of the golf course operations, non-playing guests are not allowed to accompany players.

Out Of Bounds (Rule 27-1) Beyond the boundary fence surrounding the perimeter of the golf course and or areas marked by white stakes.  The practice ground is deemed to be ot of bounds when playing the first hole.

Water hazards (Rule 26)

 All coastal areas are to be treated as either water hazards or lateral hazard, and will be defined by either yellow or red stakes / lines.  Native grass is deemed to be in the margin of the hazard.

 Immovable Obstructions (Rule 24-2)

 To include all artificial surfaces, roads, sprinkler heads and golf course pavilions.

 

Moveable obstructions (Rule)

All stones in bunkers.

 

Ground Under Repair (Rule 25-1)

All areas marked by a white line and stated G.U.R or specifically roped off areas with G.U.R signage.  Play is prohibited from G.U.R demarcated area.

Yas Links Conditions of Play

Be aware of your pace of play, Yas Links Course marshals will assist all guests with the enjoyment of their round, please be respectful of their role.
All yardages are measured to the centre of the green.
Please keep carts on paths around tees and greens and observe the GPS system warnings.
Please repair ball marks, rake bunkers and utilise the sand and seed provided for filling divots.

SafetyBe aware of fellow golfers.
Do not attempt to retrieve golf balls from the beach area.
