Steven first experienced the Golf business working at Gleneagles Hotel in central Scotland as a retail assistant. Having enjoyed a successful Junior Golf Career he decided to turn Professional in 2003 and carried out his apprenticeship at the world renowned Turnberry Hotel. In 2006, Steven graduated from the PGA Diploma program, becoming a fully qualified golf professional and was recognized as one of the top 10 coaches in his year.
LIAM CREGAN - PGA GOLF PROFESSIONAL
Liam comes to the Academy with 13 years of golfing experience; 7 years of those were spent working for the Belfry golf resort at the PGA National Golf Academy. Prior to working at the Belfry Liam was a student at the University of Central Lancashire, in England, where he graduated with a BA (Hons’) degree in Golf Management.
Liam has a very personal approach; “I like to combine the personal experiences gained from playing; the knowledge installed through my PGA training; and my ongoing development into my coaching. My coaching ethos is that we are all individuals; having differences in lifestyles, physical abilities, experiences, time and the goals we desire. I focus on providing the student with a clear and concise understanding of their golf swing finding out how they learn to create a positive learning environment. I believe that knowledge is useless without the ability to translate it to the student: Listening and communicating are at the core of my teaching.”

I am delighted to join Yas Links, Abu Dhabi. The Kyle Phillips design sees a beautiful links golf course with the traditional values of our game embedded in the Arabian Gulf to create a first in the region. Alongside this the facilities including the golf academy are second to none using high tech coaching equipment to give the player the best chance of making the improvements they desire. As a PGA Professional I am excited to bring my experience and knowledge to the team at Yas Links for many years to come.
VICTORIA HASSETT - GOLF OPERATIONS ADMINISTRATOR / PGA GOLF PROFESSIONAL
Having recently graduated from Birmingham University in England with a First Class BA Honors Degree (the first female to do so) in Applied Golf Management, Victoria is an ambitious and enthusiastic addition to our team. During her studies which included biomechanics of the golf swing, golf psychology, business and financial perfomance, physics and equipment technology Victoria also turned Professional after having represented both her county and University.
Victoria's previous employment includes the David Leadbetter Academy in La Cala, Spain and the Belfry Resort at the PGA National Training Headquarters. Victoria is extremely passionate about the game of golf and the golf swing and this enthusiasm is very prominent within her teaching. She strongly believes in taking an individual approach with every player to utilize their potential and maximize their understanding.
